Hi, and thanks for stopping by!
My name is Ken and I’ve been airbrushing since 1988 (back when airbrushed T-shirts were all the rage).
I launched my official art career as the Art Director of Pool & Billiard Magazine, creating numerous cover and editorial illustrations in addition to magazine layout and design for several national publications.
Beginning in the mid-90s, I began freelancing as an illustrator/designer while mastering digital illustration via Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
In 2001, I returned to my airbrushing roots, focusing primarily on the automotive industry. I ran my own shop in Elgin, IL, painting everything from motorcycles and helmets to cars, trucks, guitars, and murals, and even the occasional airplane.
My current interests are focused primarily in commercial illustration, utilizing the experience I’ve acquired over the past three decades. My work has appeared in several publications, including “Airbrushing 101” and “The Airbrush Bible.” I am also a founding member of the non-for-profit “Oddball Art Labs,” devoted to expanding and promoting the arts in the greater Chicagoland area.
